Hi Shakes, bye Shakes. Drive safely! When I was a kid my mom used to drink the G&T's and I thought they smelled/tasted like pine trees. Which they do! Anyway, long story short, I got hooked on them in 2000 and can't give 'em up. My favorite is still Harvey's Bristol Cream Sherry! That was my nickname growing up. NOT Harvey, Sherry!

I'm off to see more fireworks, but I had to tell you about my RUM experience. My sister gave me a drink with Coconut Rum and Mango Peach V-8 juice. YUMMMMMMMM Drank it in the hot tub. Nice. Almost felt like I was on vacation.

I took a little nap this evening and just woke up about 1/2 hour ago. Figured I'd check in and see if anyone was around, then go upstrairs to watch the illegal fireworks (not mine) before lurking for the evening.
SHAKES!!!! HELLO!!! SHAKES!!!!! If you read this, and I am paging you through the Universe so you better, I was reading your 2nd part of the adoption story. (Again with the crying that only YOU can make me do.) I was trying to leave you a post or email you, but no success! For some reason I can't enter to post and I do not have your email address.
I didn't want to put this is the open, but I see I have to. This is my suggestion, from a Social Worker's standpoint. There are ways around everything, your Social Worker knows this. And you are right, you either need her on your side or you need a new SW. I suggest getting her on your side.
Show her, through your writing like you've shown others, and your indomitable spirit that you have the will and the determination to get things done! You can't fix the income from the past three years, but you can show the reasons for it (you weren't out smoking crack, were you?) and you wrote about it. Become a force to be reckoned with! Get her on your side and 1/2 the battle is won!!!!
As for the future income to meet the child's needs, you are more than capable of meeting that. Push for the home visit as soon as you show her how determined you REALLY are. If this SW doesn't help, ask the supervisor for another to work with. If that is possible, but only as a last resort with this agency!
Obviously, I have more to say about this but I don't want to take up this space with the particulars. When you have time ask Minxie to give you my email address. Then if you want more info from an unsocial social worker I'd be more than willing.
Ultimately, this may not be something that you can control. BUT you can give it your best shot and go from there! The Universe works in mysterious ways.

Can't help with the money ideas, because when it comes to money I AM THE BIGGEST LOSER! If I could get my hands on that kind of money and OFTEN, I wouldn't be a SW!

Well I have had the LONGEST day ever! Lots of fun with my family, and such.
Sorry I kinda left last night, after popping in. My eye was hurting badly, and I had to go.
Today it is 100% better! YIPEE! You were right Minxie- fastest healing part of the body.
Just got back from Waukesha fireworks. not as good as last year, but still fun.
