First, let me say that I am happy that everyone is safe.... and keeping their spirits up!!! I hope the rain stops and the water recedes VERY soon!!!!
Well faire was warm but enjoyable.....we did some shopping, some drinking and hanging out. Since it was a light turn out at faire, the crew decided it was time to start the after hours party..... so we set sail for me home port..... We BBQd some of the best meat around and prepared the sides.... while we were waiting, I brought out a bowl full of garlic flavored cheese curds. As I offered one to each crew member, I was asked, "What are those?" "CHEESE CURDS?" "What the *beep* are those?" "You want me to eat what?" "Where do they come from?" How are they made?" I simply smiled and said, "They are garlic flavored cheese curds, they taste great. Try one! And they squeak too!" As they each took one cautiously, smelling them and licking them (wow, they acted like they were poisoned! LOL) they finally got the courage to eat them. Laughter and smiles ensued..... and some squealing, "Mine squeaked!" LMAO!!! It was quite entertaining! I set the bowl down and explained the story of how I was introduced to them by my friends in WI. When I turned around to get one for myself... those buggers!!!! They had eaten them all!!!! POOF!!! The cheese curds were GONE!!!! PIRATES!!!!! LOL..... needless to say, they were a HUGE hit and now the crew is craving the curds......

We finally called it a night about 3:30 am.... those who stayed overnight were up by 8 am. We had a nice relaxing Sunday just chatting and munching on leftovers....

It's been fun trying to keep up with you, especially while drying my basement.
It was a little scary to see the water approaching up the driveway in the front and from the neighborhood drainage ditch from the back & side. We were very lucky compared to others. Fix window wells is now on the honey do list.
I hope that the water stays away from everyone else - except you Sir Jack for when you need to sail away.

Things are not good. She got her valuables out of the house, including the cats today and is waiting for the dam to break. If it does, she is going to not have a home. Very stressful day in Columbus the Crawfish river is rising my aunt lives down on the river and her basement is full of water they just can't keep up
they are worried about Fall River Dam up higher than c-bus.
They are also worried about the WI river too if too many of the dam's break it could be bad...
Spme people in columbus got evacuated by boat this morning off of River Road- this is part of where the Crawfish River flows.National guard is there also helping out...Say lots of prayers and as far as I know everyone is safe in c-bus and not injuries yet

Well, we found out Jack is lives in WI, we thought Waukeshau, but now he is saying no..... Jack is about 1 mile from a body of water big enough to sail his ship on.....and he has nothing to do with the PE filming so Vicky's idea is shot full of canon ball holes!
I think thats all we have for now...
so far no notice of them evacuating...columbus is just a sight
I work in town and the park behind us was flooded it is just amazing in all my years I have never seen anything like this
